The Science Behind MyCore

MyCore is built on a foundation of medicinal mushrooms and adaptogenic herbs—each carefully selected for evidence-backed support of immune function, inflammation balance, and cellular resilience. This page offers just a few highlights from the scientific literature and traditional knowledge behind our ingredients.

Cordyceps Militaris

Cordyceps Militaris supports cellular energy (ATP) production, endurance, oxygen utilization, and recovery. Clinical studies show benefits for athletes and those recovering from illness. Cordyceps polysaccharides have also been shown to enhance natural killer (NK) cell activity and immune balance.

Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor)

Turkey Tail contains powerful beta-glucans—especially PSK and PSP—clinically researched for their immune-supportive and microbiome-balancing effects. Trials in cancer patients have shown Turkey Tail can improve immune markers and treatment tolerance, making it a cornerstone of integrative oncology support.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)

Reishi is prized for its broad-spectrum adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies report improvements in immune modulation, sleep quality, mood, and stress resilience. Reishi triterpenes and polysaccharides support cytokine balance and healthy cellular function.

Agaricus blazei Murill

Agaricus blazei has demonstrated effects on NK cell activity, inflammation balance, and quality of life in both oncology and general health contexts. Its unique polysaccharide profile makes it a valued immune-supporting mushroom worldwide.

Key Adaptogenic Herbs

MyCore’s formula is further strengthened by adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory herbs such as:

  • Astragalus Root: Used in traditional Chinese medicine to support immune resilience, healthy inflammation response, and cardiovascular health.
  • Ginger Extract: Shown to support digestive health, circulation, and healthy inflammatory pathways.
  • Turmeric (Curcumin): Widely studied for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, including in joint and cellular health.
  • Schisandra Berry: Traditionally used for stress resilience, liver health, and improving focus and stamina.
  • Rhodiola Rosea: Research supports its role in combating fatigue, enhancing mental performance, and improving stress adaptation.

Note: This summary covers only selected ingredients and research. The scientific literature on mushrooms and adaptogens is extensive and growing—MyCore’s formulation draws on both traditional wisdom and modern peer-reviewed studies.
